AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association) has announced the 10th annual Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards, which will take place in Melbourne this October.
Since its inaugural awards ceremony in 2006, AIR has handed out 90 awards to hardworking Aussie artists. Last year’s Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards were dominated by Mansfield rockers Violent Soho, singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett and Melbourne MC Remi Remi.
The 2014 awards also saw performances from the likes of Sheppard, DMA’s, SAFIA and Meg Mac. This year’s performers and nominees will be announced soon, with organisers promising the 2015 event will be the biggest yet.
The 2015 Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards will take place on Thursday, 22nd October at North Melbourne’s Meat Market.
